In 1987 Dan was commissioned to create a four acre garden in Northamptonshire. The resulting gardens, both naturalistic and pioneering in their design and content, ranged from a Woodland Garden, a Thyme Lawn, a garden in the walls of a former barnyard and a traditional vegetable garden. The Garden: A Year at Home Farm is a lyrical chronicle of a gardening year in this magical place, which explores the seasons both practically and aesthetically.
