Shoe Tree
07.07.11

Our friend Dave sent us these images of a tree he saw recently in the Californian desert. Dave is a vintage clothes dealer and travels to the States a couple of times a year. He has been down mines, in the basements of old factories and down disused wells in his search for vinatge American workwear. On his travels this year he came across this tree which, for an unknown reason, has become the depository of hundreds of pairs of worn out footwear, from leather shoes and boots, flip flops, workers boots and plimsoles to Nike High Tops. You can see Dave's blog here and visit his stall, Ragtop Vintage, in Spitalfields Market every Thursday.
